aldn's Unconventional Approach Makes "i'm alright" His Best Single Yet

If you're a fan of underground music, there's no doubt you're familiar with the D.I.Y. electronic-pop scene dubbed as hyperpop. Characterized by self-produced glitchy instrumentals and a disregard for tradition, aldn is one of the genre's purveyors. Singles such as  "glitter," or my personal favorite  "ifls," are deeply emotive and vulnerable tracks that push the creative envelope.

aldn is back with one of my favorite singles so far and an accompanying music video as well. "i'm alright" exceeds fans expectation with its experimental production and catchy songwriting. The self-produced instrumental moves at a slow tempo driven by an acoustic guitar, while still incorporating glitchy electronic elements.

Directed by Dane Ray and Noah Weisfogel, the music video is dark, ominous, and perfectly matches the emotive tone of the track. The visual world aldn has built around himself is just as intricate and creative as his left-of-center music.
