Matt Maeson is one of Ones to Watch's favorite up-and-coming alternative minds. Hailing from Virginia Beach, Maeson had a rollercoaster of an upbringing, spending his childhood volunteering with his parents' outreach ministry before getting caught up in drugs and eventually spending a short stint in prison. After his release, the singer turned his experiences from his tumultuous youth into art by writing songs during the precious hours between his construction job and performing community service. In a few short years, the introspective songcrafter went from touring the US in a humble Hyundai and writing songs on the road to releasing his debut album Bank on the Funeral ahead of his Ones to Watch-presented headlining tour this summer.
