EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Kid Froopy- “bb (four missed texts) (WRLD Remix)”

Even though we’ve technically embarked on the fall season, Kid Froopy and WRLD have just delivered the most potent dose of sunshine with a brand new rendition of Moving Castle’s summer hit, “bb (four missed texts).”

At the ripe age of just 18, Dutch producer WRLD has already made a sizable dent in the electronic music sphere. Effortlessly transitioning between drum and bass, indie dance, and nu disco, 2016 saw WRLD releasing the experimental Awake EP and collaborating with Father Dude for “Galaxies” on Skrillex’s label, NEST HQ. In his remix of “bb (four missed texts),” we hear the groovier side of WRLD’s eclectic musical spectrum…and we’re not mad about it. He shared,

“I heard the original Kid Froopy single and I really liked the raw emotional feeling of the entire song, I was then asked to do a remix and couldn’t help but put a bright, poppy spin on the song which was inspired by that retro ‘80s sound. I’m really happy with how it turned out and I hope you are too!”

This tune will be included on the “bb (four missed texts)” remix package, which also features a dance floor-ready version by VALENTINE and a melodic take by DZZ. Your first listen of WRLD’s remix is below, and you can even pick up a free download here. The full remix package is due Friday, Oct. 7–follow Moving Castle for more.
