RIVVRS’ soulful energy and textured vocal tone leave listeners grooving in a homegrown atmosphere. Cultivated in the Bay Area, his Americana music is nothing short of reflective, sage-like wisdom delivered by way of toe-tapping alternative rock. In regards to his sound, the Huffington Post claims “RIVVRS’ tenor exudes a rasping textured energy that’s palpably passionate, turbulent with tumescent emotions each asserting a raw pressing vitality.“
Brandon Zahursky, better known as RIVVRS, reveals that his new single, “Let it Die,” is one of his favorite songs to perform. The song is sure to resonate with listeners because of its introspective lyrics about failed love. RIVVRS explains,
“‘Let it Die’ is one of the songs on the record that was written from the outside looking in. At the heart, it’s about all the shitty relationships that drag on after you know the love has died. I wrote the song in 2015, so I never really related the lyrics to my own life until recently. Last month I parted ways with my manager, and it’s the most difficult decision I’ve had to make as an adult. It feels a lot like a break-up, and the timing of this song coming out right as I’m going through that experience is a pretty funny coincidence. In retrospect, I feel like this song foreshadowed a lot of the emotions I’m currently feeling. It just took 3 years for them to surface.”
He profoundly summarizes, "sometimes you let things go, other times you just let them die.”
While we anxiously await the release of his album Cosmic Dream, catch RIVVRS at Bottle Rock Music Festival in May, as he shares the stage with Bruno Mars, The Killers, Muse and more.
