No matter the pressures, anxieties, and frustrations currently plaguing your mental state, sometimes all you really need is genuine assurance that it’ll all be okay. That divine remedy arrives today in the form of STACEY’s latest single, fittingly titled “It’ll Be Alright.”
The Toronto-based singer-songwriter injects an instant dose of positivity into our Friday afternoon with three minutes and four seconds of pure solace. “It’ll Be Alright” arrives complete with shimmering synths, uplifting lyricism, and the main attraction: STACEY’s delicately soothing vocals leading us into a dream state where we can momentarily escape all our worries.
STACEY shared the story behind the track’s inception,
“I wrote ‘It’ll Be Alright’ in a Silverlake Airbnb a couple years ago. It belonged to some very kind musicians & the place had a real healing energy about it. I had been mourning various personal turbulences & took a spontaneous trip to LA, with my keyboard in tow & an escapist state of mind. The song took shape as an offer of solace to myself, in the way I would normally provide for anyone else — an effort to soothe a panic attack. I usually wrote around golden hour as the sun beamed into the room through it’s ceiling-to-floor glass façade. It’s the sunniest song off the EP.”
“It’ll Be Alright” follows “First Move,” both of which will be included on STACEY’s forthcoming sophomore EP, First Move. The rising singer’s lyrical depth and vocal stylings are set to impress fans of Lana Del Ray, TRACE, VÉRITÉ, and the likes.
