EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Tep No Warns “I’m Evil” In Your Next Dance Party Anthem

Following in the footsteps of Kygo’s tropical house phenomenon, Canadian singer, songwriter and producer, Tep No reveals a bright new approach. Often described as chill or “laid-back electronic” Tep No has amassed over one hundred million online streams, but “I’m Evil” is a new diversion with a punchier attitude – a track worthy of becoming the next dance party anthem. Expect to be coaxed by his swoony and soulful vocals, but also to bounce on those bright xylophone pops.

Tep No’s profound vocals lead to an explosive and hypnotizing chorus, he sings: “so be careful what you mean love / you know I’m evil / I’m evil / I’ve been lookin’ at my life and don’t want to pay the price / You know I don’t want to ignite this fight.” He explains his lyrics aren’t to be taken literally and that he is open and expectant of many different interpretations. He explains,

“The meaning behind the song is open-ended and can be interpreted many different ways. For example, someone might hear it and feel like the message is about being selfish during sex, baiting on what sexual pleasures you’re good at.”

Captivating listeners since 2014, Tep No has maintained an anonymous approach to his music. Despite his anonymity in appearance, he has released a constant flow of successful singles and remixes that have gained him attraction all over the world. He’s made placements on Spotify’s Top 10 in the Viral Charts category in 7 countries. Plus, Tep No has shared the stage with some of your favorite EDM greats like The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, San Holo, Robin Schulz and Klingande. His “effortlessly catchy” sound landed him a record deal with Ultra Records in early 2016.

A song to jumpstart your 2018 playlist, “I’m Evil” is a track you’ll find us listening to on repeat.
