Fiery and bold, electronic production duo BLVK JVCK’s latest release, “Love Me Still,” featuring recent Juno award winner for Breakthrough Artist, Jessie Reyez, is a punchy enigma. Premiering here first, the video stars BLVK JVCK’s very own, Andrew “Dru Brett” Harr and Jermaine “Mayne Zayne” Jackson, detailing the love lives of two separate couples while romanticizing life’s small moments. Seemingly simple, upon taking a closer look, you can depict the underlying conflict that often surfaces when living together through expression and body language. Fittingly, Jessie Reyez chimes,

“When I talk about it, don’t talk about it, you’re lying / You wanna tell me stories, wanna sell me on it, don’t try it / Don’t pull me down with these things, I’d rather by flying / I’m fed up with you babe, so fed up with you babe.”

The song and video collide reflecting reconciliation – emotionally and physically – as the chorus gives,

“Show me who you are, show me pieces of your heart / tell me who you are, tell me secrets in the dark / Love me still, yeah you love me still.”

Skewing back and forth between vintage film effects and modern cinematography, the video for “Love Me Still” is an engaging light show that’s paralleled by Jessie Reyez’ otherworldly vocal delivery. Sultry and romantic, while still maintaining its mystery, the video and track come together to give forth a forward-thinking production. Dru Brett of BLVK JVCK gives more context:

“The video is a vibrant ‘visual art montage’ that explores the intense spiritual and physical connection of two couples. It is also special because it was the first time Mayne and I played the lead roles in a music video.”

Their past work consists of unforgettable hits like “Go Hard” by DJ Khaled and “Hustlin’” by Rick Ross.
