Van William and First Aid Kit’s “Revolution” Is Indie-Folk Bliss

One of the most tell-tale signs of a quality song: when someone who doesn’t generally gravitate towards the song’s respective genre absolutely loves it. I must admit, that was the case with me and “Revolution,” the new single by former Port O’Brien frontman and current Waters singer Van Pierszalowski.

A collaborative effort with acclaimed Swedish folk sister-duo First Aid Kit, “Revolution” tells the age old tale of clashing conflict resolution perspectives that lead to the eventual downfall of a romantic relationship. The lyrics could just as easily be applied to the current discord in our political state of affairs, a compelling sign of William’s songwriting prowess.
