AVIV Seeks Outside Validation on "love of your life"

Young love can be so intoxicating. When you’re young, everything feels that much bigger, giving romance an intensified, life-or-death gravity. This also allows you to be easily charmed by false praise. 15-year-old artist AVIV understands what it is like to be sucked into that excitement.

Her new single, "love of your life," speaks to the naivety of young relationships. To quote Taylor Swift's song "Fifteen," "When you’re fifteen, somebody tells you they love you, you’re gonna believe them."

With feathery synths, gripping guitars and a catchy chorus, AVIV's indie-pop anthem is sure to have listeners hooked. She passionately sings, "Say what you please / We both know I'm incapable to leave / Cause it still excites me when you say that I'm the love of your life." Most of us know what it is like to fall prey to others’ validation, making this one hell of a relatable indie pop earworm that we could not be more delighted to premiere

The Toronto talent is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. When the pandemic hit, it did not deter her. She became more driven than ever, listening to music constantly and focusing on writing. She admits, "Music became a way to convey my emotions. Since I won't even talk to my friends about a lot of these things, it's an outlet for me to talk about things I don't talk about." That unwavering devotion to her craft really shines through in "love of your life."
