FOXCULT Is A Force Of Nature On New Single "GLACIER" | THE NOISE

The all-trans group FOXCULT, comprised of vocalist Audrey Lane, guitarist Ashley Carrera, and drummer Mia Dawn, continue to send shockwaves through the music world with the release of their latest single, "GLACIER." Pulling inspiration from post-hardcore, shoegaze, and melodic hardcore, the new single is an electrifying track full of lush sonic textures and dynamic vocals while delivering intriguing storytelling. Following the band's recent singles "The Garden" and "Haunted," FOXCULT continues to prove that they're a force to be reckoned with.

The single comes out the gate sprinting, with a full band sound emerging from the get-go. Carrera nails the opening section with big riffs and huge drum sounds from Dawn's epic drum performance. This combo is matched effortlessly by Lane's bass performance and her flawless, soaring vocals singing gut-punching lyrics like, "’I'll stare forever/ Into the glass before me now/ ‘Cause I’ve never seen/ The shape and symmetry of all I am/ And I won’t go back."

The group has an undeniable chemistry throughout, allowing everyone to shine while working seamlessly together. The burning emotions of the number find themselves in the song's forefront, with the group leaving it all out on the table. "The culmination of a larger story," said the band, "'GLACIER's' sweeping, richly-textured soundscape and gripping vocals take listeners through an introspective journey into an otherworldly realm of self-reflection, acceptance, and optimistic melancholy."

The accompanying music video is an equally dynamic visual that sees the trio give an impassioned performance of the song. Glitchy aesthetics and intercutting scenes of glaciers and void-filled icy waters grab the viewer's attention as the band's fiery presence oozes through the screen, hinting at just how spectacular this song would be in a live setting.

Alongside the music video release, the band has announced officially signing with Adventure Cat Records. The band shared, "Most labels nowadays like to drive bands into certain directions, but at Adventure Cat, we are allowed to be us, unapologetically. We are openly trans & fiercely queer, and our music is representative of that. We have a story that we want to tell to an amazing & diverse group of people who are often underrepresented, and Adventure Cat allows us the freedom to do just that."
