Rising singer-songwriter mehro shepherds listeners down the rabbit hole, or in this case, a K-hole, with the release of their raw new single "ketamine." The LA native's moody track is a confessional and tender effort that sees the artist tap into themes of love, despair, and everything in between.

The track opens with a blend of gentle guitar strums, twinkling xylophone strikes, and warm piano lines. mehro's dulcet vocal croon over the summery arrangement, "A sobering sunrise is / Not as bad as it seems," going on to describe the warm touch of Ketamine finally hitting as the instrumentation continues to ebb and flow throughout the production. Soft percussion patterns and whimsical whistling usher in the chorus, with mehro repeating the line, "It don't matter now," from his sonic K-hole.

According to mehro, the accompanying music video, directed by him and Jennifer Morrison, was made to "deliver the unexpected," highlight the many ways a song can make you feel, and illustrate how the song can be interpreted. "I did not know how this video would turn out, but in the editing room, the footage revealed the story that needed to be told," shares the artist. "The video is deeply personal to me, and I cannot wait to see how people receive it. I am endlessly grateful to my collaborator and director Jennifer Morrison, producer Kristen Brancaccio, director of photography Ryan Calavano, and the rest of our incredible crew."

Later this month, mehro is slated to take their lauded live show back on the road with an extensive run of headlining U.S. dates. Kicking off on February 21, the run of shows will include stops at Los Angeles' The Roxy, Brooklyn's Baby's All Right, Nashville's The End, DC's Songbyrd Music House, Philadelphia's MilkBoy, and many more. Following the U.S. tour, mehro will debut at the Pal Norte Festival in Monterrey, Mexico.
