PVRIS Release Fiery Angst-Ridden Single "Good Enemy" | THE NOISE

Genre-flipping pop-rock band PVRIS continue to keep listeners on the edge of their seats with the release of their latest single, "Good Enemy." The new release in traditional PVRIS fashion powers through with conviction and self-awareness. The band's signature dynamic energy takes center stage under the fearless leadership of lead singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Lyn Gunn.

A flurry of catchy beats and seething instrumentation herald in the track, with Gunn's addictive vocals demanding listeners' attention. Memorable lyrics like, "I was idle now I start a lot of shit," and "It's a funeral 'cause now my ego's dead" are backed with a barrage of intensifying bass lines and smoldering guitar riffs, setting a sonic scene that's ready to boil over. On the climactic chorus, Gunn belts, "hold the knife by the blade/ 'Cause I know how to take the pain/ I love a good enemy," while the instrumentation explodes into a mosh-inducing raging fire featuring more shout-along lyrics.

The single is from the band's upcoming album EVERGREEN, out July 14th, which sees the band dynamically evolve from electric delivery to ethereal catharsis, both with equal conviction and maturity. This results in an 11-track uncompromising body of work that is a testament to PVRIS' dedication to craftmanship, resilience, and brutal honesty.

"Evergreen is a reclamation of control in our post-pandemic culture, posing a complex discussion on fame, technology, spectacle, and female autonomy," said Gunn. "It's not my job as an artist to cater to certain trends or people's nostalgia, I have to follow what I feel compelled to follow and do my best to uncover what truths and messages I can find within that. I have to always embrace the risks of change and trust that each stage of my music's life will resonate with whoever it's meant to."
