There aren't a lot people that can say that they've been a backup dancer on a Kanye West tour, modeled for American Apparel and featured on a Travis Scott track by the age of 21. That is unless you're Phoenix-native Kacy Hill. Actually, Hill's entire life seems like something out of our high school fantasies. At age 16, she was discovered by a local wedding photographer and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career. In L.A. Hill was invited to be one of Kanye's back-up dancers on his Yeezus tour. At one point during the tour Kanye heard her song "Experience" and immediately signed her to his GOOD music label. And it all seems to be getting better from there, Hill released her debut EP Bloo in 2015 and toured with fellow Ones To Watch artist, Jack Garrett. Following the release of Bloo, Kacy Hill returned in 2017 with a double single release of "Hard to Love" and "Like A Woman" that showcased the varied range of her ability as an artist.
Her debut album, executive produced by Kanye West, Like A Woman is out now and already receiving critical praise. Featuring production from Tourist, DJDS, Dj Mustard, and more, Like A Woman is a mesmerizing debut that explores themes such as love, heartbreak, and femininity all encapsulated in a transfixing and highly listenable pop album.
July 5, 2017 "My goal is not to make a statement, but make space for exploration without shame or guilt. I don’t speak for all women. I speak for Kacy Hill.”
