Steve Lacy is a nineteen-year-old producer, singer, and musician from Compton, CA. We first caught wind of Steve because he serves as the bass player and a producer for the contemporary R&B/soul group, The Internet. As an executive producer on their 2015 album Ego Death, he helped the band secure their first Grammy nomination. Mind you, he achieved all of this while still being a high school student. Earlier in 2017, he dropped his first debut solo EP, Steve Lacy’s Demo. The smooth six-track EP features hits such as “Ryd” and “Dark Red” (which Frank Ocean coined as one of the best songs of 2017). Steve Lacy recently pushed his creative talents to the next level by executive producing Ravyn Lenae's new Crush EP, which released in February 2018. There doesn’t seem to be a ceiling to Steve’s potential and we can’t wait to see what he creates next.
