R&B / Soul
Arin Ray thought he had made it in 2012 when he appeared every week on The X-Factor as Britney Spears’ protégé but when he got cut, the record deal offers he’d expected never came. Six years later and with a resume full of major writing credits for Chris Brown, Rihanna, Jeremih and many more, Arin Ray bounced back stronger than ever. The Cincinnati-born, LA-raised R&B star pushed his talents beyond the writer’s room with his debut EP, Phases, and showcased elements of future soul warmed by his gentle effortless vocals. Now, with the release of Platinum Fire, his solo debut album under Interscope Records, he’s poised to fulfill the prediction Simon Cowell made in 2012 and finally become a star in his own right.
