Young Londoner Zak Abel has finally released his highly anticipated debut album Only When We're Naked. Originally slated for release in early 2017, the full-length project is a follow-up to past EPs One Hand On The Future and Joker Presents Zak Abel. Abel's colorful album artwork mirrors the vibrancy of his soulful take on modern soulful pop. Signed to Atlantic in 2012, his first big entrance into the large scale music scene was with guest vocals on Gorgon City's 2014 single "Unmissable." Other significant collaborations have included work with Kaytranada, SG Lewis, and Tom Misch. A self-taught guitarist and pianist, influences like James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Bill Withers leave a mark on Abel's distinctive music. With the voice and heart of an old soul, this fresh, young artist is making waves with his energy-filled, emotionally-intimate music we hope to continue to hear more of.
