Little brother of Chance the Rapper, Taylor Bennett continues his Restoration of an American Idol Tour with six upcoming California stops. Beginning March 17 in San Diego at the House of Blues, followed by Los Angeles on March 18 at the Roxy Theatre, Taylor will later finish out his series of Cali shows in San Francisco on March 23.
Taylor Bennett hit the ground running when he released Broad Shoulders, a 10-track album featuring a slew of exciting features - his older brother included, in 2015. Building momentum from his first record, Taylor released Restoration of an American Idol in 2017. With another wide array of collaborators - ranging from Chance the Rapper, Kyle, Ones To Watch artist Raury, and more, Taylor's built-up a momentum so strong it's led him to deliver a tour by the same name.
With an attention-grabbing lyrical flow and new-age beats that range from technologic bounces to soulful orchestrations, Taylor Bennett takes the same Chicago-inspired influences his brother rode in on and craftily mixes them to ignite a new sound that's simply all his own. Dropping "Minimum Wage," one of the few featureless songs Taylor has, we can certainly see where's he's headed.
