San Francisco’s Outside Lands
Where: Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA
When: August 8th – 10th
Set in the California sun and chilled by San Francisco’s breezy fog, the Oustide Land music festival presents itself as a properly climatic Coachella. And undoubtedly, this festival boasts a more and more prestigious lineup each year. This coming weekend the green fields of Golden Gate Park will be home to the epic sounds of Kanye West, Artic Monkeys, Tiesto, Flume, and many more. First City Festival

When: August 24th – 25th
On the mountainous coast of California lays the state’s first capital, Monterey, and fittingly the First City Festival. First City Festival traces its roots to 1967s Monterey Pop Concert who featured rock legends Jimi Hendrix, The Who, and Janis Joplin. Today, First City Festival operates under a similar rock-pop inspiration showcasing chart topping artists Beck, The National, Dawes, and many more. Don’t forget to catch the eerie ambiance of Coco Rosie, who will surely standout in the foggy atmosphere of California’s northern coast.

Labor day weekend always causes a mass migration of people…and festival goers. This year, the festival wind gusts northward to the rainy city of Seattle, and the 35th annual Bumbershoot Music Festival. With every genre represented by one or two world-class talents, Bumbershoot guarantees the diversity Seattle is known for. This year Bumbershoot will host acts ranging from Ones To Watch standouts SZA and Walk the Moon to the powerhouse performances of J. Cole and Elvis Costello. Furthermore, Bumbershoot boasts a new addition to its festivals narrative, with the inclusion of Youngershoot, “a family-friendly festival within the festival.
