Be Still, My Heart--Kevin Garrett Drops "Little Bit Of You"

If you’re nursing a heartbreak leading up to Valentine’s Day, Brooklyn-based Kevin Garrett’s new track “Little Bit Of You” is the perfect shoulder to cry on.

The lyrics, “Every now and then/ Oh I can feel the magic/ But your love is always going out of fashion” chronicle the hazy dissipation of a relationship, yet reward the ears with gorgeous vocals and euphoric production. Garrett’s old soul sound is also encapsulated on his other most recent single “Stranglehold,” released just two weeks ago.

Garrett’s hypnotic lyrics and new age mesh of pop, funk, and soul have transported him onto stages at Bonnaroo, Montreal Jazz and Electric Forest. Oh, and not-so-casually, last year he co-wrote “Pray You Catch Me” with James Blake and Queen Bey herself on Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, LEMONADE.

If you live in America and want to swoon over his lyrics in person, check out Kevin Garrett on tour in the upcoming months. His tour dates are below:
