Dayo Bello’s ‘360’ Is a Sonic Interpretation of Love and Heartbreak


Although you may not know the name Dayo Bello, your favorite artists surely have. Despite his quiet profile, the U.K. singer is already in the ears of artists like Rex Orange County, Peter Cottontale and Raveena. An alumnus of the renowned BRIT School in London, Bello is positioned to follow in the footsteps of fellow alumni Adele, King Krule, Leona Lewis, and Amy Winehouse. Influenced by gospel, soul, and grime, Bello concocts a recipe of heart-piercing R&B in his debut EP, 360.

His first single, "Mine" released in mid-2017 made a huge impression garnering him international coverage from various online publications. The self-produced track showcased Bello's raw talent as a songwriter and producer, priding himself on the fact that the song was created in his southeast London bedroom. Bello would release an accompanying music video for the standout single for the aforementioned standout single, as well as three more singles prior to 360's debut.

360 is a sonic interpretation of love. Each song is a grand spectacle with vast instrumentation that lays the groundwork for emotionally vulnerable lyrics. Singing about heartbreak, bliss, commitment and faith, Bello stories his tumultuous journey with love.
