It's quite beautiful to witness the convergence of two artists who come from completely different musical backgrounds, manifesting a union that is much greater than its individual parts. That's exactly what we've witnessed with Bronze Whale and The Odds. An unexpected meeting between the Texas electronic duo who produces "computer noises" (Bronze Whale) and the soulful rock singer/songwriter (The Odds) resulted in "Best," the first of three tracks on their upcoming joint EP.
"Best" is exactly that: the best of both artists' sonic strengths. The Odds opens with a powerful vocal performance and passionate lyricism, followed by Bronze Whale's signature electronic breakdown that sends us into a whirlwind of emotion and potentially awkward dance moves. We're not surprised to see Bronze Whale stepping slightly out of their comfort zone, as they've garnered notable recognition and confidence with successful remixes of Imad Royal's "Down For Whatever" and Crywolf's "Slow Burn," as well as their sensational trap-infused original, "Hear Me."
"Best" is the first single from Bronze Whale and The Odds' forthcoming Million EP. It officially debuts Oct. 18 via Bronze Whale's Magic Magic label, but enjoy your exclusive stream below in the meantime.
