Eye on the YTAs: Not Your Average Awards Show

"YouTube is a place for people to make things and put them out there for everybody to see. We should be making things too," says actor Jason Schwartzman.

Tonight, many things will be made, live and unscripted, at the first ever YouTube Music awards. Hosted by Schwartzman and directed by Spike Jonze (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich), the show will attempt to create live music videos while the show is happening, in addition to live performances by a slew of artists, including OTW featured band Walk off the Earth.

"There is a certain sense of relative ‘WTF’ around here," said Schwartzman. Good thing, because we were getting bored of the VMAs anyways.

Watch the first ever YouTube Awards today on YouTube at 6pm EST (that’s 3pm for all you West Coasters).
