Five for Friday: Say It All

Every week, we go over so much music that it’s hard to give each song/artist/video premiere its rightful moment of attention. Which is why we’re dedicating this post to all the songs we didn’t get a chance to talk about that we’re listening to.

1. “Say It All” - Great Good Fine Ok

Brooklyn electro-pop duo released their new EP Body Diamond this week. The four-song set includes this new gem hidden in the fold of the band’s more upbeat catalog. Be warned, it’s a slow-burner that will make you feel ALL the feels.

2. “Bassically” - Tei Shi

We knew Ones To Watch band Glass Animals were onto something when they enlisted Tei Shi for one of their sexiest songs on Zaba, “Holiest.” The Brooklyn-via-Colombia singer lovingly refers to her genre as “mermaid music,” but all joking aside, her latest single is a swooning dance-pop statement that will get any body moving. (To keep it moving, stream her EP here.)

3. “Start Again” - Operators

This week we had the pleasure of hanging out with the talented Operators, who just finished wrapping a tour with Future Islands this summer. Let it go on the record that to fully experience this band’s magic, you must see them live. Operators are bringing O.G. dance parties back.

4. “Turn On The Light” - Jamie T

Londoner Jamie T wins us over with this drawling track, a perfect introduction to his far-ranging influences, from ska to hip-hop to reggae.

5.  ”Our Love” - Caribou.

Dan Snaith, mastermind behind Caribou, incorporates sweeping strings into this utterly delectable dance number for a rare, memorable effect.
