We had the pleasure of catching up with Harry Hudson ahead of his performance at this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, to have the rising “folk pop" artist take on our Quick 6. In doing so, we came to discover that a certain modern-day cowboy may have a slight Chamillionaire obsession.
Harry Hudson released his first single in 2013, but it would not be until 2015 that he would see his artistic vision fully realized. It was not for a lack of ambition or skill but a sudden diagnosis with Hodgkin's lymphoma. After overcoming the illness, Hudson returned to music with a renewed passion and infectious blend of enveloping pop vocal melodies and powerful R&B sentimentality. It can be felt and heard throughout his debut album, Yesterday's Tomorrow Night, and in his recently released, Jaden Smith-assisted single "Just Slide."
