Highway Teams Up with jetsonmade and Ye Ali on "Another Plane"
Seattle native, Highway, has been putting out music at an incredibly prolific rate, but not at a sacrifice for quality. His recent EP titled Ivy showcases his ability to carry a song off the strength of his wordplay and vocal cadences. The instrumentals on this short project are spacey and minimalistic, which gives Highway room to capture listeners' attention with his performance. My personal favorite on Ivy is the opening track "On My Mind," which is a stunning introduction to both the artist and the project.
Highway returns with his first release of 2021 and he's connected with veteran producers jetsonmade and Ye Ali. The song titled "Another Plane" is the first single off of his upcoming project. "Another Plane" builds on the ideas of Ivy, but shows Highway's versatility and hook writing ability. The instrumental of the track is similarly very skeletal and stripped back, but jetsonmade adds his signature hard-hitting drums.
