Ross and Rocky Lynch have found it’s better to keep things in the family. The brothers not only front their musical project, The Driver Era, but write and produce most of their own tracks. Not feeling compelled to define their sound by genre, the duo specializes in crossing sonic boundaries, resulting in a funk-infused, indie experimental product. Their latest single, “Low” is a taste of their signature sound and follows their wildly popular release earlier this year, “Preacher Man,” which hit #15 on Billboard’s Alternative & Rock Sales Chart.

You might recognize Ross Lynch from his acting work, as he currently stars in Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina following his critically acclaimed portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer in the drama, My Friend Dahmer. How does one go from playing a serial killer to being part of a buzzy breakout band? It’s not exactly a common transition, but the success of The Driver Era argues that it can be done.

Check out the Lynch brothers below, and give their latest single “Low” a listen. These two are undoubtedly headed for big things.

After doing a couple interviews, Ross and I were heading backstage and on the way there was a tent that was braiding hair and offering different jewels that you can stick to body parts. They threw a couple on Ross before we took the stage.

This festival, Riptide, was on the beach and the stage was facing the water. Brought a serene feel to our set.

Never did I know I could get this low.

My guitar tech dug this guitar across the parking lot. That’s why it’s missing some paint. Plays great tho :)
