ICYMI: Tall Heights Announces Headlining Tour with New Single, “Midnight Oil”

It's a good day when you find out Tall Heights is about to release a new album on October 5. With coinciding album release and headlining North American tour, Tall Heights has released another single off their next endeavor, Pretty Colors For Your Actions. Before their headlining tour, you can catch the pair supporting Ben Folds and Cake on their August run of amphitheater dates.

Tim Harrington and Paul Wright are not focused on subscribing to a genre that can be checked in a box, but are rather intent on telling stories through anecdotal music. We had an interview with Tall Heights earlier this year where they confidently stated,

"We will continue to address climate change and social issues in our songs, and lend our music to causes we're passionate about."

"Midnight Oil" is part of a four track preorder package that includes earlier singles from this year. The new single shows a clouded feeling of darkness, contrasted by other leading single, "The Deep End" which exhibits a buoyant and upbeat instrumental.

The title of the album is taken from the first line of "Midnight Oil," which finds the Boston duo continuing the experimentation of their indie sound. Oliver Hill and Steve Wall co-produced the forthcoming album that will be layered in melodic hooks accompanied by heavy synth jams.
