When you start out your music career singing backup for Paloma Faith and Cee Lo Green, you learn a thing or two. Like how to how to exercise control over your creative vision, from the sound to the lighting. Like how to command your presence as an entertainer, no matter if you’re in front of or behind the spotlight. Like how to walk (and dance) in seven-inch heels. Liverpool-born, London-based Jetta developed all those skills by age 23. With a label (Republic Records) and seasoned producer Jim Eliot, of Ellie Goulding and M.I.A. fame behind her debut EP, Start A Riot, Jetta is poised to take over the pop world by storm. We present you with exhibit A, her track “Feels Like Coming Home,” which was quickly scooped up to soundtrack Google Zeitgeist’s worldwide ad campaign. The ballad showcases Jetta’s chops at penning and delivering heartfelt ballads without restraint, which all makes sense given her mantra: ”Feel and be first. Think later. There are no rules. Get lost in the moment.”
