Katelyn Tarver is no stranger to the entertainment world. From her role as Jo Taylor on Big Time Rush to collaborating with the Childish Gambino collaborator Ludwig Göransson on “Weekend Millionaires,” the Georgia-born, Los Angeles-raised singer, songwriter, and actress has been making a stir since the tender age of twelve.
The Tarver of today stands as a well-seasoned veteran when it comes to delivering meaningful pop messages of the most infectious variety, a fact she made readily apparent throughout her shimmering sophomore EP, Kool Aid. We had the pleasure of inviting the multi-talented Tarver to our rooftop in Hollywood to perform a stripped-back rendition of “Kool Aid,” the title track of her sophomore EP.
Beyond being a much-welcomed addition to the world of pop, Tarver somehow manages to do it all. When the rising singer-songwriter isn’t busy penning new music for us binge on repeat, she still finds time to pursue her love for acting. If you find yourself looking for even more from of one of our favorite pop artists, you can catch her starring opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in HBO’s Ballers or revisit our interview with Tarver herself.
