Orange County quartet King Shelter will be celebrating the release of their most recent single, “Gholy Host,” with a hometown show at The Echo on Saturday, February 4. They will be accompanied by fellow indie-rock aficionados Emerson Star and Yip Yops.

The band comprising Taylor Hecocks, David Noble, Adam Nienow and John Harzan debuted in the fall of 2015 with their Failure EP. King Shelter has described their sound as “Salad Rock,” a mixture of rock consisting of alternative, grunge, surf and everything in between. With the layers of intertwining genres (or ingredients) they have a unique sound atop complex lyrics.

“Gholy Host” is a refreshing crisp of blaring guitars, passionate vocals and filling bass lines. King Shelter’s organic yet modern west coast vibe is what makes them unique.
