Not everyone can say they have traveled across the world to search for something greater, but Lowen certainly can. Years ago, the rising singer-songwriter experienced a shift in perspective that led her on a backpacking journey before returning to Nashville. Now, Lowen is back and stronger than ever, as she overcomes a range of hardships in her impeccable debut EP, Only In My Dreams.

Featuring warm guitar twangs, "Morning, Mourning," the album's lead single, is a brutally vulnerable recollection of Lowen's grueling experience trying to balance euphoria and grief in one of the most pivotal moments of her life. Although "Pretending Happy" showcases Lowen's breathtaking vocals, the lyricism is particularly of note, because she, once again, strips herself to the core. "You'll Know Who Knows You" suggests that we will eventually recognize those who are most important to us because we will see past the haze in time.

"Take The Hit" is a livelier tune with melodic choruses about refusing to forget someone who was once very special to you as if they are a lifelong tattoo. The compelling title track has more evident traces of pop than the other songs in Only In My Dreams; Lowen's energetic chorus is a display of her versatility and range that you will fall in love with instantly. Opening with a charming acoustic chord, "Chameleon" explores Lowen's final ode to self-confidence as she grows into an unapologetic woman who appreciates self-worth in all forms.
