The Lost Aphex Twin album

image

English composer and electronic producer Aphex Twin’s long-lost Caustic Window LP finally saw the light of day this morning, when the record became available to the public after a Kickstarter campaign came full circle. If you know anything about Richard D. James, you’ll know he’s a veritable mastermind of distorting technology to create music that ranges from ambient to totally, disturbingly engrossing. Stream the 15-track LP in full below.

Goldroom Verano 2014 Mix

Los Angeles producer Josh Legg, aka Goldroom, has a new mix out that’s just waiting to hop aboard your getaway method of transportation to soundtrack your summer activities. The mixtape draws from 100 tracks to transport you far away from the gridlock into a paradisical land, sans the dullness and worries of normal life. Stream and download it for free above, and might we also mention he is touring with Ones To Watch favorite Chela this summer?*

NONONO - “One Wish”

Nonono’s long-awaited debut album, We Are Only What We Feel, arrives on July 1, and we’re not even going to try to contain our excitement about that. The band has shared another fruit from their months of laboring on the record - the new track “One Wish.” The song features singer Stina Wappling chanting nostalgia-induced longings for home and childhood, a softer contrast to their dizzyingly upbeat single “Hungry Eyes.” Hurry up and come this way, July 1!

MØ - “Walk This Way”

Spunky Danish singer MØ, who just wrapped a tour with Swedish singer Erik Hassle, takes her signature side pony to new dimensions in her video for the single “Walk This Way.” She rocks it in bauble form on the clean steps of a post-modern building, through an Olympic hurdles racetrack, and in a grassy field while her equally nonchalant sidekicks casually dance beside her. Not to mention, what a lovely homage to high school rebellion is that beginning bubblegum smack on the bleachers?

Arctic Monkeys - “Snap Out Of It”

We’d be remiss if we failed to mention Arctic Monkeys’ new video featuring actress Stephanie Sigman obsessing over studio footage of the band. A remark to their own fans? Debatable.
