New Music Tuesday - Broods, SBTRKT, FlyLo, Tinashe

Broods - Evergreen

New Zealand siblings Broods, currently on tour supporting Sam Smith, have released their debut album. Coming from the same musical family as Lorde, with whom they share producer Joel Little, the young duo have drawn up an intense recipe for R&B-tinged electropop with lyrical ingenuity that cuts to the core of feeling. Tinashe - Aquarius

In the past year alone, R&B singer Tinashe has moved past a former T.V. sitcom career into the realm of a formidable pop artist. With the aid of the Schoolboy Q-assisted single “2 On,” which was remixed by Drake, Tinashe went on to collaborate with the likes of Ones To Watch producer Ryan Hemsworth, Dev Hynes, and Future. SBTRKT - Wonder Where We Land

These days, Aaron Jerome, aka SBTRKT, is easily lumped into the category of producers with a knack for thumping bass canvases blending soul, techno, and drums with gorgeous voices. He’s a part of the Sampha, Lil Silva, Jessie Ware, and Banks posse that seem to be occupying their own unique corner of electronic music. SBTRKT’s latest features everyone from Sampha and upcoming ATL rapper Raury to Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig and Warpaint. Stream his latest here or buy it here

Flying Lotus - You’re Dead!

Versatile producer Flying Lotus has paired up with even more exciting artists on his new album, most notably, his drama-rife collaboration with rapper Kendrick Lamar. Other appearances by Steven Ellison’s rapper alter-ego, Captain Murphy, as well as Snoop Dogg make their way here as well. Stream it here or buy it here
