Sometimes, the most beautiful art is born from the most serendipitous of situations. Such was the case with Lola Marsh, the indie-folk duo comprising Tel-Aviv based Yael Shoshanna Cohen and Gil Landau. As a result of the Cohen’s fateful decision to crash Landau’s birthday party – with a catchy hook and whistle in tow – Lola Marsh’s next gem was already written in the stars.
We invited Lola Marsh to perform at our Baño Flaco showcase, where the duo hushed an audience of hundreds with their humble presence and whimsical, stripped back melodies. Watch their performance of “Wishing Girl” above, and listen to production duo Deepend’s dance floor-ready rendition below:
