The love song has been done for decades - and it's a songwriting topic that will never not be popular. But what aspects of a love song make it believable or convincing? For NYC folk/rock singer Shane Weisman, it's all about the in-between moments of a relationship that define true love. On his newest track "The Light In You," Weisman sings about the simplicity of coming home to someone you love and how the little things make all of the difference.
Weisman grew up in the midwest and was drawn to music at an early age, teaching himself how to play guitar at the age of 13. His talent and perseverance led him to an audition for Berklee College of Music, where he was accepted to study music full-time. Inspired by the professors who have shaped some of music's biggest singer-songwriters, like John Mayer, Weisman quickly made a name for himself in a sea of aspiring performers.
After the release of his 2016 EP Hangin' On, the quality of his work got the attention of Simone Felice - a producer who has worked with The Lumineers, Vance Joy and fellow Ones To Watch star Jade Bird.
Weisman has shows coming up in New York City and Columbus, OH. Click here to check out his website.
