Jamie Foxx, Drake, and Jared Leto are some of our favorite singing and acting double threats right now. Determined to make his own mark as a double threat, Jacob Anderson is ready to make 2016 his. After winning us over in the acting world with his recurring role on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” as Khaleesi’s loyal warrior Grey Worm, he is ready to win us over in music too. Two months before the season six premiere of Game of Thrones, Jacob (under the music moniker Raleigh Ritchie) has dropped his debut album You’re A Man Now, Boy. Although this is his first official album, he has blessed us in the past with some solid EPs (including an underrated fuego project with The Internet that you can find here.)
You’re A Man Now, Boy finds Raleigh navigating through adulthood and the ebbs and flows that come with it. Touching on topics such as love, success, humility, and perseverance, Raleigh is in a relatable space to many of us. As far as the music goes, Raleigh’s versatility is on display. From dance songs like “The Greatest,” to traditional R&B songs like “Bloodsport ’15,” to ballads like “The Last Romance,” Raleigh provides something for everyone without stepping outside the overall smooth vibe of the album. We’re going to be giving this some serious spins around the office for the foreseeable future and you should too. Listen to the full project here and buy it here.
P.S. Game of Thrones is back on April 24th. :))))))))))
