Son Little Rolls Out Soulful New Single ‘Lay Down’

New Jersey artist Aaron Livingston goes by Son Little and is readying his self-titled debut album, set for release this October 16 via ANTI- records. As a working musician, he’s been affiliated with bands like The Roots and Mumford & Sons, and contributed vocals to the Hot Sugar single “Need You Bad.” Livingston’s personal category takes on mid-20th century soul and seeps it in modern experimental electronic and rock elements. On his newest single “Lay Down,” he pares it down to the basics, his soulful lilt against the comforting electric guitar, a combination that’s as Sam Cooke as it is Jimi Hendrix.
