It’s been a big year for James Blake. The 25-year-old producer and singer’s magnetic sophomore effort Retrograde just snagged the Mercury Prize Award for best British album, and Blake has also been working on a host of collaborations featuring the likes of Chance The Rapper and Drake. His latest comes in the form of an unusual but incredible Destiny’s Child remix of the 1999 hit “Bills Bills Bills,” where Blake channels Beyoncé’s sass and sends it through a jazzy, buzzing ringer, building it out with big band-worthy brass touches and his signature synthesizer work. The cut, released through Blake’s label 1-800-Dinosaur, re-emerges disheveled, triumphant and more than just a little dazed, in the best way possible. Listen below!
