NehruvianDoom is the combined effort of 18-year-old New York rapper Bishop Nehru and supervillain-producer MF DOOM. The album showcases Nehru’s streetlamp rapping against production that scales the jazzed-out sidewalks of Nola and dusky neighborhoods in New York. Throughout it, Nehru, who has already raked in high-profile collaborations with both Doom and Disclosure, continues to prove why he deserves the artist to watch mantle in the hip-hop community. This unlikely pairing is perhaps as beneficial for Doom as it is for his young collaborator. Stream the album before its release next week via Pitchfork Advance.
