April 8, 2014 "I can’t recall the last time I took love from anyone," sings SZA on her new track "Babylon," wherein Kendrick Lamar coolly steps in and drops a verse. The new track comes from SZA’s hotly anticipated debut, Z, which arrived in the world today. Just a year ago, the lone lady repping the TDE crew was still working at a Sephora in New York. In 2011, on the strength of her sultry, aching voice, the songstress nabbed the attention of TDE President plus Lamar, who’s star was just beginning its massive ascent in history. She’s come a long way since this first connection at CMJ, and we’re certain this is just the beginning of her own rise. Listen below:
