Ten Fé, the London-based indie royalty with shaggy locks and timeless appeal, are making a name for themselves internationally. Since their 2017 album, Hit The Light, Ten Fé has proved to be a force of shoegazey, classic rock-tinged greatness, and their latest single delivers on high expectations. "No Night Lasts Forever" sits amongst "Not Tonight" and "Won't Happen," all recent teases of their forthcoming Future Perfect, Present Tense album.
Ten Fé finds melodies that hit the heart in the right places, and deliver them wrapped in vintage appeal. Listening to "No Night Lasts Forever" is incredibly satisfying, as a simple yet familiar chord progression buzzes with synth and rhythmic guitar. They've seemingly sonified both the excitement in the air of an early 90s prom and the magic of driving down a city street in a convertible. The band's music evokes imagery with its charming classic feel, coating choruses with warm harmonies as they sing of an uncertainty. Ten Fé commented on the inspiration behind "No Night Lasts Forever,"
"There was a debate when we were writing the song as to whether that's an optimistic or a pessimistic statement. But we decided we liked the ambiguity - that it didn't have to be one or the other.“
