To say The Regrettes have a busy 2018 would be quite the understatement. Our favorite Los Angeles-based punk rock band, who just delivered a killer set during the first weekend of Coachella and are sure to do the same this following weekend, are soon to embark on an expansive tour this May, which will take them from Europe to Lollapalooza. And in preparation for The Regrettes' inevitable global takeover, we checked in with the band to see exactly what tour life really looked like. And upon viewing the following photos, it would be fair to say we found ourselves more than pleasantly surprised.
The sun-tinged, surf-rock era punk stylings of The Regrettes, reminiscent of a punk rock version of Buddy Holly, bring forth an image of a band that actively embodies the feelings and actions of today's youth. Yet, we were wholly unaware as to what degree that sonic embodiment would hold true in the band's day-to-day.
Well, suffice it to say, it holds strikingly true. In 19 pictures, The Regrettes provide a refreshing portrayal of a youthful band finding amusement in every aspect of being on the road, while never losing sight of the larger picture. Whether it be participating in political activism, chomping down on Chipotle, or fawning over their fellow touring band, Mt. Eddy, The Regrettes give ample reason time and time again as to why they're our favorite sun-soaked punk rockers.
