TOUR DIARY: The Road to Splash House Part Two with Gryffin

image

Gryffin first broke onto the scene with his transcendent remixes for Tove Lo, Maroon 5, and Years & Years, but it's his own feats of production mastery that have taken the world by storm in recent years. The New York City-based DJ, producer, and instrumentalist crafts heavenly, anthemic works of electronic bliss. Over the course of a series of standout releases, Gryffin has established himself as a headliner-worthy artist with a set to match. Take a single listen to his recent ground-shattering single with fellow Ones To Watch favorite Elley Duhé for all the proof you need that Gryffin is one of the artists trailblazing the next wave in dance music.

As he gears up to headline Splash House this weekend in Palm Springs, California, we were lucky enough to get the inside look of what a typical day and night looks like for one electronic music's fastest rising stars. Join us as we hit the road to Splash House with one of the headliners himself, Gryffin.

Just arrived at the venue to play with The Chainsmokers and Bazzi in Atlantic City. Beautiful day at the beach, can’t complain.

Making some edits to my live set during soundcheck. My tour manager usually isn’t happy when I make em.

Mid-soundcheck stretch.

This is Spencer. He plays the drums for me. He shreds. He also likes to goof around.

Someone gave me a Gryffindor hat. Obviously the best house at Hogwarts.

Our stage tech, Will, and I decided to watch Alex and Drew crush it in front of 25,000 people. So crazy to see how far these guys have come.

Ferris wheel lookin’ electric on the beach. Unfortunately didn’t get to ride it.

Playing the world’s largest pipe organ. Guess those piano lessons since I was a kid paid off…

Grew a food baby before my club set later on. The ramen was just too good.

Played a DJ set at DAER later that night. Had a great time playing there for the first time in AC!
