Debut in 2018, the up-and-coming singer-songwriter Cath Wong has walked many paths to stand where she is right now. She was introduced to music during her university studies when she worked many part-time jobs to buy herself her first guitar. Before her debut, she was passionate about uploading her original songs online and doing busking performances. At first, she worked as an intern journalist, but it didn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams in music. In 2018, she finally got the chance to step on the stage she had always dreamed of performing on: "Witch House" in Taipei, and here became her starting point as a professional artist. She was discovered by staff from Sony Music, and she signed to the record label O.U.R Works of Sony Music Hong Kong the following year.
Thanks to her brand of bright, hook-filled acoustic pop, Cath made a great debut in which she won Best New Artist in major music awards. In 2019, she released her first album featuring 12 songs. A book written by Cath was given with the album as a special gift, exhibiting her passions for music and literature. In 2021, she held her second solo concert, winning the audience's appreciation with her song arrangement and performance. Her music has gaining recognition, and she won the Silver Award for Best Female Singer at the 2021 Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. With a guitar, she tells us how she gradually shapes herself.
