Truth be told, there is not much we do know about adobee., but one thing we do know is that he is kicking off 2020 in proper fashion. The multi-faceted producer, rapper, and artist has been crafting lofi hip-hop meditations for the better part of a year or two, releasing a series of singles that have demonstrated his understated promise. His latest single sees him and a couple friends taking that promise to new dimensions.

"sent you flowers." marks adobee.'s first release of the year and sees him linking up with haroinfather to deliver a subtlety beautiful sentiment that strays the line between lofi hip-hop and woozy R&B. With additional production courtesy of haroinfather, "sent you flowers." moves through a range of sonics and moods at a breakneck pace. Dipping into vocal modulation, hushed murmurs existing beyond an impermeable haze, and confessional bars in a barely two-minute affair, adobee. and company paint a mesmerizing portrait of love dead on arrival.

"I sent you flowers but they die" repeats a series of voices, some artificial, some echoed, some organic. It is the emotional crux of adobee.'s lofi rumination. It is a message that he wastes no time in delivering, wearing his heart on his sleeve for a mere moment before suddenly disappearing into nothingness. And despite the sudden departure, the sentiment lingers.
