Can You Spot All the Cultural Commentary in Mez's "Loading..." Video?

"We birthed the culture, there ain't no way around it"

Multi-hyphenate Mez is back with a new song and video. "LOADING..." is the latest from the Raleigh native who serves as a creative producer/director for Dreamville, music video director, producer, and fashion designer when he's not barring us up. Co-produced by Mez, DJ Dahi, and Frank Dukes, the song features Mez reflecting on the state of our culture and the driving forces behind some of the negative aspects of it. Whether it's consumerism driven by capitalism, groupthink, or clout culture, Mez speaks on the ills that have affected him and people like him growing up. I'm always down for some cultural commentary especially when it has Snoh Aalegra harmonizing in the background.

The accompanying video, directed by Mez, succinctly echoes the sentiment from the song. Parodying classic QVC shopping shows, Mez illustrates some of the groupthink happening in black culture. The clip also features TJ Warren and an audio cameo from Guapdad 4000.

Watch the video for "LOADING..." above.
