There's no shortage of come-up tracks, flex anthems, or party bangers. But on "All Eyes On Me," EARTHGANG uses their newfound success for good, delivering a rapturous bout of sonic storytelling. Hailing from hip-hop homebase Atlanta, the duo made up of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, aren't reinventing the wheel with this meaningful message, but they do it with such fluid artistry, there's no doubt why they stand out from the crowd.

"All Eyes On Me," set to appear on the duo's forthcoming album, Ghetto Gods, out January 28, acknowledges the hardships that everyone is going through right now. Tackling lost jobs, lives, and opportunities due to the pandemic, EARTHGANG becomes a symbol of hope. Venus spits in the song's opening, "And God whispered in my dreams, shawty open your eyes / I got so much more in store for you, they can’t touch what’s mine / Pack my whole life’s precious moments in a line / And shawty singing my songs, she think she know what’s on my mind."

Doctur Dot tells his side of the story, as well. Fame and success come at a price, but what matters to him at the end of the day is his family. He shouts them out with, "Mama I ain’t made it ‘til you quit your nine-to-five / I was on the road when I found out my uncle died / I lost a lot of sleep, but know we should’ve talked more / I worked so hard, I can’t forget what this is all for."

In a world full of creatives, chasing your dreams isn't easy. But during a time like this, it seems like nothing is as easy as it once was. In the track's official music video, EARTHGANG sheds light on the hardships everyday people go through, but ends the flick with their crew at a dinner party. If there's one thing EARTHGANG wants you to know, it's: if they're eating, we're all eating.
