Jake Wesley Rogers - "Jacob from the Bible" [Live + Interview] | All Eyes On

There is a heavenly aura surrounding the sonic meditations and musings of Jake Wesley Rogers. The Nashville, Tennessee native crafts music that simultaneously evokes comparisons to the soulful narrative journeys of Elton John and the contemporary pop range of Sam Smith. It is a vast range we were delighted to explore alongside Rogers in our latest All Eyes On performance. Performing "Jacob from the Bible," the lead single from his sophomore EP Spiritual, which was released earlier this year, Rogers illustrate why the constant comparisons to John and Smith are much-deserved.

Rogers' music strikes a chord somewhere deep inside you, and it is not just due to his striking vocal range and acrobatics. "My main mission when writing and recording is to be 100% authentic and draw from my experience of growing up in the bible belt being queer," shares the Nashville native in our exclusive interview with the artist. This unapologetic authenticity bleeds forth from every one of his singles, leaving the listener feeling like they know Rogers better than they did moments ago. It is a true testament to Rogers' gift for unabashed songwriting, and it is a gift that will surely propel him ever-further in the years to come.
