Oliver Tree refuses to be confined into a box. With a sound that's impossible to perfectly pin down, he's established himself as a juggernaut in the scene with nowhere to go but up. And that's to say nothing of his myriad of collaborations, with the eclectic artist working with some of the biggest power players across the industry. From Dillon Francis, Whethan, to blink-182 - it's abundantly clear that everyone wants to work with Oliver Tree.

His single "Life Goes On" has proven to be another successful contribution to his already dynamic discography, and he's keeping up its momentum with a continuous flow of remixes. Adding onto renditions from Alok, Clean Bandit, and Ty Dolla $ign, Oliver Tree enlists Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God for their take of "Life Goes On." Tapping into the top of Soundcloud rap's graduating class, it's obvious that Tree is always thinking three steps ahead.

Staying true to the theme of heartbreak in the original, Trippie Redd takes over the intro with the first verse, pleading, "Baby, don’t play crazy, you’re the devil in cheetah print / I swear I can see Hell in your eyes." Ski Mask The Slump God plays off of this perfectly in the second verse, referencing The Devil Wears Prada and painting a picture of drowning in lava through his sonic streams of consciousness. Getter also returns on the production side, revisiting his trap roots to provide a simple yet effective beat for Trippie Redd and Ski The Mask God's graphic reimagining of the viral hit.

While their bars playfully depict the hardships of heartache, the two rappers excellently encapsulate the essence of both Soundcloud emo rap and the track itself. Plus, the Lyrical Lemonade-produced music video matches their eccentric energy with an enthrallingly nonsensical flick starring TikTok’s latest trend, The Island Boys.
