August 25, 2014 After a year of building hype, Aussie pop-rock quartet The Griswolds have released their much-anticipated debut Be Impressive.
August 22, 2014 A band born from 80s rock synth, The Griswolds' latest song, "16 Years," serves as a catalyst of anticipation for their debut album, Be Impressive. Riding the white-tipped wave of Australian musicians, the harmlessly rambunctious indie outfit are the latest band to make a break from the Outback and into the embracing arms of American rock fans. "16 Years" infatuates the ears with a hearty 80s atmosphere; deep synths, electro piano riffs, and steady rock 'n roll drumming. Lyrically, the verses seamlessly fit into the instrumental of the song, enticing feelings of nostalgia and summer lust. The track will serve as the introduction to the album, and in our opinion, it's definitely the right choice. Listen below and grab a free download!

October 29, 2013 "I think our style of music all comes down to big choruses you can sing along to," says Christopher Whitehall, singer and guitarist of The Griswolds. Big, fizzy choruses are what this five-piece outfit from Sydney are all about. Take their single "Mississippi," a tropical mess of power-pop off their debut Heart of a Lion EP. It's the song that inspired Whitehall and guitarist Daniel Duque-Perez to flesh out their jam session into a full on band, adding bassist Tim John, drummer Chris Riley and keyboardist Lachlan West to complete the picture.
